Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can boost the power of a piece and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations applied.

Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll a purchased item like a weapon, armor or rings. This swaps the current item for another similar one and comes with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens are an economical method of upgrading equipment. However, they do not retain the quality of the original item and any resources that are wasted aren't refunded.

Reroll tokens can be used to change an attribute of the equipment for example, increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.
Players can reroll equipment in three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades increase the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks, while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with additional health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Stage, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. Once they're opened, they display a full description and icon of the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and accessories. These are special stones that increase an item's level by increasing its stats and attributes. They can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the major towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. These stones can also be purchased by players who have completed daily contracts.
To upgrade equipment, the player must first locate the item then click the "level up button". The menu will appear that shows the item's current status and what it will be after being leveled up and the required amount of Growth Stones to accomplish this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor requires only one Growth Stone.
After selecting the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. When the requirements have been fulfilled, the player may select the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. Depending on the item's rarity and rarity, the upgrade process could take anywhere from seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and will not affect the item's longevity. This makes the system an ideal way for players to gain an advantage in battle without putting a strain on their bank account. Clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded piece of gear onto an entirely new piece of equipment.
New players may find it difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are several ways to acquire these stones. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or find them in reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally, players can break down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that allows players to increase the stats of their weapons, armor, helms, and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will be upgraded to an upgraded level. This process can be repeated until the maximum level for an item has been attained.
Items that have upgraded base stats display a blue icon in their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components don't stack with one another, and can only be added to one item at one time. Each upgrade component also requires the purchase of a certain amount of items and a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left is where players can place equipment that needs that they wish to upgrade, and the right slot shows a preview of what the gear will look like when it reaches its next level. When players have enough materials and has pressed the yellow arrow will begin the upgrade process.
An item of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time it is upgraded the stats of the base item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
When an item reaches its highest level, upgrades will not be available for it. Likewise, once a piece of gear reaches a certain upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer), upgrades to that track will come with a discount.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to provide an extra effect or attribute bonus when the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted, obtained through quests or traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped by acquiring new ones. However, this can cause the old upgrade to be destroyed.
Requirements
Items upgrades allow players to boost certain stats of armor and weapons they already have equipped. The requirements to upgrade an item will vary based on the type of item but generally, you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
item upgrader can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to weapons and equipment. This will give them extra effects or an increased level of the item. The upgrades can be acquired through a variety of sources in the game, including through crafting, purchased at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is inserted into an item, it isn't able to be removed or changed without restriction, however, the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components come with additional modifiers which can further improve the item's stats.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. Additionally the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Certain items are better off being upgraded less for their increased stats, but because it allows players to get the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.
The game will show you the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. The game will show the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
If you've fulfilled the requirements for upgrading The game will then place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will change to show how close to completing it. You can also check the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
